A huge thank you to the State of Qatar for its fabulous hospitality during the Second World Social Summit, which took place in Doha from November 3rd to 6th, 2025. The organization, the atmosphere, and the commitment of all participants made this global event a true success.
We are delighted that the Doha Declaration will now lead to meetings every five years — a major step forward, especially considering that it took 30 years to organize a second summit after the first one held in Copenhagen in 1995. This new rhythm will strengthen global cooperation and accelerate progress in social development worldwide.
Thank you as well for providing extensive networking opportunities for civil society. The quality of discussions was remarkable, with key themes such as poverty eradication, employment, social inclusion, and equal opportunities for all placed at the heart of the debates.
The Second World Summit for Social Development leaves a strong legacy and sets a promising course for future international efforts in building fairer, more inclusive, and more resilient societies.
